National Public Garden's Day was created in 2008 to drive local and national exposure to the importance of building vibrant, relevant gardens committed to community enrichment and environmental responsibility through community engagement, sustainable practices and conversation. The intent is to raise awareness of public gardens and the important role they play in their communities and on a global scale.
