Description
The Mastering Series of classes is recommended for DSLR digital camera owners only. There is an old expression for taking pictures that still rings true today: F8 and be there. With the newest digital cameras "being there" and ready has become even easier. To capture something unique, as you see it, you must have a working knowledge of light, composition and timing. Those tools will ensure success in every situation. Other classes in the series include: Light and Exposure and Flash and Capturing Action.
Edward Weston said that composition is the strongest way of seeing. Building on our understanding of light, we will look at how to use natural light to shape our compositions. We will also examine traditional rules of composition and the work of selected landscape photographers. In this class we will talk about depth of field, where to hang the frame in capture, and cropping in Photoshop. The use of a tripod is recommended.
- Class enrollment limit: 10
