Insects play an important role in nature—pollinating, keeping other insect pests at tolerable levels, and providing a vital food source for other animals. In this program, you will learn about the beauty of insects and their ecological roles, while taking artistically pleasing and interesting photographs with a digital camera. This class will also focus on macro photography, focusing, composition and simple photo editing. Open to all students who own a digital camera with a macro setting option. Students should bring a flashlight or a small hand-held LED light. Some shooting in the Garden is included.

  • Class enrollment limit: 12
