Description

Low-desert gardeners are confronted with special challenges when it comes to tending to their landscape. In this introductory class, participants will gain the basic skills and information needed to assist them in making choices on how to properly care for a garden while minimizing its impact on the environment. We will emphasize the importance of plant selection, which will affect how you maintain your garden for years. The class will also cover the best practices for planting, efficient watering, proper pruning methods, fertilizing and other general maintenance tasks to create a successful low-water use garden.
