Learn about the best plants to grow in metropolitan Phoenix. It may seem challenging to find plants that tolerate the Sonoran Desert, but there are many plants, both native and introduced, that thrive in our area. This class will be conducted as a plant walk, with instruction on identifying recommended plants and cultural information on how to grow them. This class is part of a four-part series, which will occur throughout the year, and will cover trees, shrubs, ground covers, vines and accent plants.
