Description
How does geology influence climate, botany, civilization and more? The 1815 eruption of Mount Tambora in Indonesia affected the entire world, erupting volcanic ash into the atmosphere and causing a year without a summer. Known as the world's largest and deadliest volcanic eruption in recorded history, the explosion was heard more than 1,200 miles away and resulted in climatic abnormalities that caused massive crop and agricultural failures worldwide. Learn about different types of volcanism and how they can affect the natural world.
