Every Saturday in March, Scottsdale Artists League members will paint the beauty of the Desert Botanical Garden and present their work at the final sale and show April 5, 6, and 7, 2013.

The Desert Botanical Garden and Scottsdale Artists League will co-sponsor their 18th annual Spring Paintout. Visitors will encounter Scottsdale Artists League members capturing Garden scenes through oil, acrylic, watercolor, pastels, and photography. Many of our artists have taken part in the DBG Paintouts for 10 years or more, while some will be creating art in the Garden for the first time. Discover the Desert Botanical Garden through fresh eyes and interact with local artists. Be sure to return during the final sale and show on April 5, 6, and 7 when all of the artwork from the Paintout will be on display and for sale. A portion of the proceeds will benefit the Desert Botanical Garden and the Scottsdale Artists League’s Scholarship Fund. The Desert Botanical Garden is located at 1201 N. Galvin Parkway in Phoenix and the Paintout is included with Garden membership or paid Garden admission. For more information visit www.scottsdaleartistsleague.org or www.dbg.org.

The Scottsdale Artists League
Founded in 1961 as a non-profit organization by a group of Arizona artists, the Scottsdale Artists League (SAL) has grown to several hundred members and has become a major art association in the local arts community. Our mission is to encourage the practice of art; promote and advance the interest, appreciation, and application of all forms of art; as well as foster good fellowship, cooperation and development among artists and other interested members of our community. SAL holds juried and non-juried shows, Paintouts, art workshops, monthly meetings, and provides scholarships for worthy art students. We encourage amateurs, professional and even non-artists to join us!
