Celebrate 75! It’s a Garden Party!

On Saturday, September 28 The Desert Botanical Garden is celebrating 75 years with the gift of a free admission day, including complimentary admission to the Mariposa Monarca Monarch Butterfly Exhibit. Tickets for Members and the General Public are free and available by registering at www.dbg.org/celebration. The Garden is open from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. and there will be a host of activities and entertainment from 10 a.m. – 4 p.m. Butterfly exhibit hours are 9:30 a.m. – 5 p.m.
Activities for the day explore and celebrate the mission of the Garden with offerings for all ages including demonstrations on Landscaping and Gardening with topics on Desert Soils, Pruning and Vegetable & Herb Gardening; Food and Well-Being where Edible Plants of Arizona, Meditation and Making Mesquite Bean Flour will be discussed; and Herbarium and Conservation Greenhouse Tours will be conducted. Visitors are also being asked to bring images or share written memories on an interactive mural on display in Ottosen Gallery. Visit dbg.org for a full schedule of events. Upon departure each guest will receive a Wildflower Greenaid Seed Bomb designed for year-round flowering.
