The Garden recently received exciting news for its Tending the Garden Campaign – An $850,000 Challenge Grant from The Kresge Foundation. This is a clear vote of confidence in the Garden’s work from a major national foundation. The Desert Botanical Garden is well on its way to becoming the premier center for the study and display of desert flora and the regional authority on sustainable desert living.
The $850,000 Challenge Grant Award from the Kresge Foundation is contingent upon our raising the final $3.8 million needed to complete the $16 million Tending the Garden Campaign.
The Kresge Challenge encourages new gifts to the Campaign from the Garden’s members, donors and the community. Without generous support from these sources, the Garden could lose the offered award.
