Our nature trails are a great way to observe plants and animals found in our desert home. Special exhibits highlight the ways people have used plants for food, materials and tools over thousands of years.
Adult leaders may bring their groups to the Garden and participate in a self-guided visit. This option is available on weekdays after 1 p.m. or on weekends during regular hours of operation. Self-guided visits are $3 per person, with an extra fee of $1 per person in the Fall and $2 in the Spring for visits to the Butterfly Pavilion. Self-guided visits must be booked at least 3 business days in advance. Youth organizations with at least ten children participating in the Garden visit can take advantage of the guided tours developed for school field trips. This is a great option for groups that choose to visit during spring or fall breaks. Guided tours start at 9 a.m., 9:30 a.m., 10 a.m., and 10:30 a.m. on weekdays from October 1 - May 23. Guided visits are $5 per person, with an extra fee of $1 per person in the Fall and $2 per person in the Spring for visits to the Butterfly Pavilion. Q: What resources are available to enhance the Garden visit?
A: Garden maps and a kids’ scavenger hunt are available from admissions. There are also trail guides available for purchase. On weekends from October - April, a kids’ activity table called Target Kids Corner is often open.
Q: Are any exhibits or trails currently closed?
A: The renovated Herb Garden is now open. The Cactus and Succulent Houses are closed for renovations. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.
Q: How is payment made for youth organization visits?
A: A single lump sum payment should be made by the adult leader upon arrival at the Garden.
Q: May youth organization visits be scheduled during festival weekends or summer flashlight tours?
A: Yes, however, a special premium date surcharge of $2 per person added to the group rate on special event weekends.
Q: How will my visit be confirmed?
A: You will receive a confirmation email within 5 business days of submitting your online request form. If you do not hear from us by then, please contact us immediately at 480-481-8121.
