BEST EXHIBIT EVER
by Bob Davidson - 01/03/2009 @ 70.176.199.213
I have also found peace and solace at DBG. It is my favorite place in all of Phoenix, but they have really outdone themselves with this exhibit.

I want to move in and never leave.

The DBG is always a special place, and I didn't think I'd like to see glass cluttering up the beautiful plant specimens. But, this is an extraordinary exhibit; one I'd be sorry to have missed. The integration of colors and shapes with the plant material and the play of light is really awesome.

Hi Evangeline,
Sorry you had difficulty getting tickets for Chihuly. You can get tickets by clicking on "Chihuly Reservations" on the left side of this page. We hope you are able to come and see this great exhibit soon.

by Karen L. - 01/27/2009 @ 209.180.155.14
This show was so amazing, breath taking, spectacular! I can't stop talking about to everyone I know. I am going back again soon. We went in the 4-8pm show which was perfect as you get the sunlight, dusk, and night views of them all. Amazing! Don't miss it. Just wish there was a handout where each piece was and a small write-up on each piece, the artist, and the set-up. Other then that, AMAZING!

The placement of Chihuly's art within the garden is pure genius. Bravo to all that made this experience possible. A special thanks to the team of volunteers that keep the art work sparkling.

Can I see everything in 2 hours?
by NCKate - 02/17/2009 @ 66.17.91.170
How long does it take to go through the garden? I am in town for only a couple of days and desperately want to see the Chihuly exhibits. I can only sneak away from my work commitments for a couple of hours. Thanks.

RE: photos and visit length
by John - 02/19/2009 @ 64.245.10.131
Photos can be taken for personal or education use. Chihuly encourages it. The Garden and the exhibit can be seen in a couple of hours but if you can leave 3 hours, you will be safe.

Is it better to view the exhibit at night?

re: Friday nights
by Joni - 03/07/2009 @ 68.230.69.21
While I did enjoy the exhibit, it is breathtaking at times, the overall experience was diminished because there were so many people it was hard to walk. I would not recommend going on a Friday night. Otherwise enjoy!

RE: What a treat
by QLA - 03/10/2009 @ 68.50.188.225
I have been to the garden many times over the last ten years or so, and I must say that this exhibit made me see everything anew. Parts of it are more spectacular by day, and parts are more spectacular by night (especially the chandeliers and the neon tower). Go if you can!

I brought my 3 1/2 year old daughter today and we were mesmerized by both the glass exhibit and the sheer beauty of the gardens themselves. We were unable to get in yesterday and went to the zoo instead. I would trade a day at the zoo for another chance to see the gardens and this wonderful exhibit. A highlight of our trip to the Phoenix area, I can't stop talking about it!

RE: Chihuly - WOW!

I am a huge fan of Chihuly and what an experience. I was in awe the whole time, the magnitude of the exhibit is undescribable. This truly is a once in a lifetime event! Thank you.

RE: Night Chihuly Exhibit
by Laurie - 03/24/2009 @ 158.145.225.36
The evening exhibit was exhilarating and exciting. Loved the tall neon cactus, and one of the glass forms in a cactus garden tricked my eye and for a second I thought it was real. It was the highlight of my trip to Phoenix. I got a ticket at the last minute and raced over there to see it. I wish it was a permanent exhibit, the scuptures go so well with the desert cactus.

RE: Fabulous Chihuly
by Carolyn Classen - 03/29/2009 @ 72.200.71.10
What a fabulous glass exhibit in a lovely desert setting. Wish it could stay longer in Phoenix at DBG. Thank you for bringing this Seattle artist to us in Arizona. Seeing the waning sunlight strike the glass at dusk was absolutely surreal.

Amazing!

We came down from Spokane WA for spring break and my mother in law brought us to the DBG. What a treat to see my favorite glass artist's work! Inspirational and breathtaking. My family is grateful for the experience!

by Joyce in New Mexico - 04/13/2009 @ 74.211.74.85
My morning in the gardens was delightful. I love it and always make a priority to visit every time I am in Phoenix. The exhibit was great and added to the excitement. The butterfly exhibit was fun too!

Would love to get tickets to see Chihuly, but haven't been able to get through on telephone. How about an online ticket purchase option for the future?

I must say that I was not a huge Chihuly fan before but this exhibit was amazing. I was visiting in Phx for a week and this was on my "must do" list. I am so glad I did it. It gave me a new appreciation for Chihuly and for the DBG. Incredible.

This exhibit is amazing and only amplifies the natural beauty of the desert. DBG should host the exhibit on an annual basis--I'd definitely pay to see it every year!

This exhibit was amazing! It's beautiful, amazing, and totally terrific. It was a very pleasurable day viewing Chihuly's works - he is the BEST. Best thing to see in Phoenix area at this time!!! If I lived in the area, I would go again and again! This should be a permanent exhibit.
