Galvin Parkway Construction
A New Intersection for the Garden
Galvin Parkway is now open to through traffic.
After several months of road closures, visitors may once again access the Garden from both Van Buren Street and McDowell Road. Construction crews remain on site so please drive carefully and obey all traffic signs.

Loop 202 Widening Project
Arizona Department of Transportation is widening the Loop 202 Freeway in the area around Papago Park. Drivers are asked to allow extra travel time. For complete Phoenix are freeway closures and restrictions visit http://www.valleyfreeways.com/
The 52nd Street/Van Buren Avenue exit on the eastbound 202 (Red Mountain) Freeway is closed until October 1, 2009 for freeway widening. To access the Garden from the 202 eastbound, use the 143 (Hohokam) Expressway exit and head toward McDowell Road. At McDowell Road, turn right (east) and continue to Galvin Parkway and turn right. Follow directional signs into the Garden.
The MS Walk will be in an around Papago Park on Saturay, November 7 until approximately 10:30 a.m. The Phoenix Police Department will determine if road closures are necessary depending on the size, location and safety needs of the walkers. Please follow all directions by public safety officers.
