The Desert Botanical Garden, in collaboration with Ballet Arizona, proudly invites you to the premiere of Topia, inspired by the natural beauty of the Sonoran desert landscape. The ballet will be performed in an intimate desert space of the Garden overlooking the dynamic red rocks of the Papago Buttes. Audiences will be inspired to see world class ballet and a world class garden through new eyes.
Ib Andersen, Artistic Director of Ballet Arizona, has created this new and site specific work that will feature the full company of Ballet Arizona dancers in a panoramic performance on an 80 foot stage. This stage, to be used for the first time at Topia, was designed specifically for this unique environment inhabited by ancient cultures. The convergence of the balletic movement on stage, set to a backdrop of desert foliage and flaming sunset, will be breathtaking. Enjoy an alfresco dinner and toast the sunset as it ignites the red rocks. Become part of the Topia dance experience, where nature and art merge to become one! Don’t miss this opportunity to be a part of art and nature as they unfold to reveal the complex beauty of the desert!

Performances
There will be a total of 17 evening performances throughout the month of May 2012. Scheduled dates are: May 2-5, May 9-13, 16-19, 23-26.
Mother's Day Performance (Sunday, May 13)
In honor of Mother's Day, world-renowned Julia Baker Confections will provide a complimentary sweet for each mother in attendance at the May 13 performance. Packages of truffles and chocolates will be available for purchase to take home and enjoy. Each mother will also receive a beautiful rose, compliments of Down's Florist, making this an evening that will never be forgotten!

Ticket Prices
Reserved tables of four
- $45 per seat for Ballet subscribers and Garden members
- $50 per seat for the general public
General seating
- $35 per seat for Ballet subscribers and Garden members
- $39 per seat for the general public

Rain-out Policy for Ticket holders
- Exchange ticket for any other available night of Topia by calling 602 381.1096 during regular Box Office hours.
- Request a refund. Refund request must be received on or before May 26th, 2012.
