Roz SavageWednesday / February 8, 2012 / 7:30 p.m.Enjoy an evening of dramatic stories and jaw-dropping videos shot on the high seas by eco-adventurer Roz Savage. Meet the inspiring explorer who gave up the security of an office job to pursue her dream of rowing the world’s oceans. In 2005, after 11 years in business, Savage dropped everything and, with only a few years of crew experience, became the first solo woman ever to compete in the Atlantic Rowing Race. Since then, she has rowed more than 11,000 miles with 3.5 million oar strokes and has spent nearly a year of her life at sea in a 23-foot rowboat. Savage has rowed both the Atlantic and Pacific Oceans and this year will complete a journey across the Indian Ocean before appearing before Arizona audiences to tell her latest story!
