Turn Sunday afternoons into a family outing of note at our Winter Music in the Garden Series. Enjoy the beautiful setting of the Desert Botanical Garden and experience remarkable performances by some of the most talented musicians in the Valley.

American Experimental

In honor of John Cage’s centennial year, the Desert Botanical Garden is proud to collaborate with the ASU School of Music to bring a truly unique performance to Music in the Garden. Enjoy this special two part concert that begins in the gorgeous Ottosen Entry Garden with special percussion and narration pieces and then progress up to Ullman Terrace for a performance of John Cage’s “Branches” performed on cacti and other amplified plants.

After receiving multiple standing ovations in their performance honoring The Beatles, Crossing 32nd Street Music Ensemble returns to Desert Botanical Gardens to perform A Musical Tribute to The Who. This tribute to one of rock music's most influential and controversial bands includes selections from the rock operas TOMMY and QUADROPHENIA as well as classic Who hits including My Generation, I Can See for Miles, Baba O'Riley, Behind Blue Eyes and much more.

  • No outside food or beverage will be allowed into the venue. 
  • Programming subject to change.
  • No refunds or exchanges on tickets purchased.
  • For the Spring Concert Series (March 2 - June 29): Must be 21 or older to attend. Proper identification is required for admission, and children will not be admitted even if parent or guardian is present, with the exception of Friday, April 20.

Dance in the Desert

The Desert Botanical Garden and Ballet Arizona have partnered this year to bring you "Dance in the Desert." The series included the Phoenix premier of MOMIX: Botanica on January 27 and 28. 

The series continues in May with Topia, a brand new ballet by Ib Andersen, Artistic Director of Ballet Arizona. Topia will be performed in an intimate desert spaced at the Garden overlooking the dynamic red rocks of Papago Buttes.

Tickets for Topia are on sale now. Tickets can be purchased by calling the Ballet Arizona Box Office at 602 381.1096 or through Ticketmaster.
