Explorations in Natural Sciences
Creatures of the Garden
Now - March 23, 2013
Class has been CANCELLED.
Saturday | 9 - 11 a.m.
- Ken Furtado
Complementing the Garden's flora is a splendid variety of other critters, large and small. Look into any cactus flower and you will see insects collecting pollen. Lizards scurry in front of you as you travel the Garden's paths. Stop and look in and around the trees and you will find ground squirrels and maybe one of the resident desert tortoises. The wildflower trail is virtually assaulted by hummingbirds and butterflies, and the pond echoes with the croaks of frogs and chirps of verdins and warblers. In this class, we will learn more about the Garden's animal side and then head out to the trails and put our identification skills to the test.
